Minority Scholarships for Students of India

Government of India has Organised various Scholarships to Meritorious students in India who belongs to minority communities which include Muslim, Christian, Buddhists, Sikh, Zoroastrians and Parsis. The Ministry of Minority Affairs which was created on 29th January, 2006 is giving out various scholarship to the students in India. To ensure a more focused approach towards issues relating to the minorities and to facilitate the formulation of overall policy and planning, coordination, evaluation and review of the regulatory framework and development programmes for the benefit of the minority communities the Minority affairs take necessary action yearly.

 Its now time to Apply for Fresh and Renewal for various scholarship for your higher studies. The Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) , Merit Cum Means Scholarship (MCM) and Central Sector Scholarship (CSS) are the major scholars Offered by Indian Govt. Here am listing the scholarships with dates and how and who can apply for these Scholarships.

Post Matric Scholarship ( FRESH )

 The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private 

higher secondary school/college/university, including such residential institutes of the 

Government and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner 

by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned. It will also cover 

technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training 

Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes 

XI and XII level. Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50%

marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of 

whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs.2 lakh.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship ( FRESH and RENEWAL )

 Merit cum means based scholarship to students belonging to minority communities. Students who are not listed under Post Matric Scholarship can apply for MCM Scholarship.
